Mother's day- A day of celebration in honor of a mother

happy mothers day
Mother's day is a very special day which is celebrated in honor to mother, motherhood and all the mothers in the society. A mother is a person who gives everything to her child and never says to pay back. Our relation with mother is a relationship which always remains with us. There is always an everlasting relation of a mother with her child. A person grows up and becomes a successful adult in his life and can take care of himself, but in mother's eyes, he always remains a little child as he was. Mothers are our first teachers who teach us and are responsible for what we are.

It is an opportunity of crediting not only your mother but any mother you look up-to for her selfless love. Mothers day is a universal occasion that is celebrated all over the world regardless of region, religion, caste, & culture.

There are many ways of celebrating Mothers day. You can present her various gifts like jewelry, flowers, hampers, perfumes, greetings etc. or you can take her for a drive or a picnic to her favorite place. Also, you can cook some special dinner including her favorite dishes. However, purchasing from market these gifts is very expensive and can’t convey the complete message you want to give her.

So the best way to express your love toward your mother and celebrating the very special mother's day is to present her a gift made by yourself. One of the options is to create a beautiful greeting card and write a message for her in it. Also, you can write any poem or rhyme for her in the card.

You can design a hand-made card. Also, you can design a computerized card using Photoshop. However, if you find using Photoshop difficult, then you can also use any graphic or greeting design software. Today many software programs are available on internet free of cost. So you can download them, install in your system and can make a very beautiful greeting card for your mother.

Social media used to market Mother's Day

This a very interesting fact cited by social-media guru Allen Mireles : "Social marketers who keep it real will do best,".

With more than 350 million Facebook users and 108 million Twitter users worldwide, social media has become as American as Mom's apple pie this Mother's Day. "Even people who were holdouts are going to these networks to communicate with grandchildren," says social-media consultant Tamar Weinberg.

Facebook and E-trade's promos has come up a free widget which allows consumers to personalize "talking" messages for Mom that can feature their kids, themselves or E-Trade's familiar talking baby. And these message can be uploaded or embed on facebook profile and on blogs too.The average American is expected to spend $142 for Mom, up 5% from last year, for a total $15 billion, says researcher Brand Keys.
