Celebrating Spring- Its Easter!

Celebrating the resurrection of Lord Jesus and also to welcome the ‘Spring’ season is what is in full fervor all through the globe. Although it is a Christian holiday but all over the world people celebrate the time in diverse ways. At the Easter weekends, people with Christian beliefs whether Catholics, Anglicans, Baptists, Orthodox, celebrate the crucifixion and then the rebirth of Jesus Christ. In the earlier times, the Easter Sunday would be reserved for the baptism of a lot of catechumens. As well, the council of Lateran gave orders to those who reached the age of reason to take up the Holy Communion no less than one time in a year. So it is one of the most important celebrations for Christians to engage in. Germans as well call Easter as Pascha, which is a word taken from ‘Eastre’, the Saxon goddess who represents the Spring. The festival makes sure that there is fertility pestering everywhere across people and land. The Saxons converted into Christianity and then it was recognized as Easter. This was done to commemorate religious times and also the season. For celebrating this festival the best gift to exchange is Easter greeting cards.
