Brief About Christmas Cards

Christmas day is celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity. Christianity marks as the beginning of the larger season of Christmastide, which last for twelve days. Christmas festival is coming & everyone is planning how to celebrate. It is mostly widely celebrated by many non-Christians and many of its popular celebratory customs have pre-Christian. There are many popular modern customs of the holiday include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations etc. In addition, Santa Claus is a popular figure in many countries, associated with the bringing of gifts for children. One of the most popular gift in Christmas is Christmas greeting card. In 1842 William Maw Egley designed the first card, showing pictures of Christmas dinner, skaters, dancers etc. In 1843 Sir Henry Cole from London introduced first commercial Christmas greeting cards.
Now days, Christmas cards are still a popular way to communicate between friends and family and between business associates. Many business send Christmas cards as a way to stay in touch with their customers and win back their business for the following year.
