Present Value of Greeting Cards & its History

Some things are left undone, some words are left unsaid, some feelings are left unexpressed, but someone as sweet as your family and friends could never be missed. So do not loose the opportunity and create greeting cards to express the inexpressible. Greeting cards are the best way to express your feelings to your loved ones.

By the early 1400s, handmade paper greeting cards became common in Europe. As a result of advances in printing and mechanization in 1850s, the greeting cards underwent major transformation from an expensive, handmade and hand-delivered gift to a popular and affordable means of personal communication. Then came in 1930 technical development in lithography that propelled the greeting card industry forward. Humorous greeting cards, known as studio cards, gained popularity in the 1940s and 1950s. In the 21st century the time has come when you can easily create on line greetings to your near and dear ones and anyone can afford this across the globe. It has become possible with the advancement in computer technology. Today there are many greeting card software available.
